Hello, my name is Trey Allen Kellner and I’m currently a senior in the Kappa Chapter of Alpha Gamma Rho. Within the AGR house I currently serve as the First Vice Noble Ruler and VNR Philanthropy. I have also served the house as VNR Scholarship in 2009. I’m the elder in the pledge class of 2008 as I transferred in from Colby Community College. Being an AGR is one of the best decisions that I have made in my life. The friendships and the memories I have made in the two years I’ve lived here will carry on for a lifetime. Livestock Judging has been at the core of my undergraduate career. I was named to the 2009 National Collegiate All-American Team, and was part of the best team that our university has had in 48 years. Working with livestock has fueled my passion of becoming an animal science major with a goal of becoming a swine nutritionist. As mentioned earlier, I attended Colby Community College and graduated with an Associates of Science and Associates of Arts Degrees. While at CCC, I was a member of the Livestock Judging Team, President of the Phi Theta Kappa honor society, an officer in the Kansas Farm Bureau, served as a Student Ambassador, and was the captain of two state championship AEC Scholar’s Bowl teams. I graduated with 29 classmates from Stockton High School in 2006. While at SHS, I was a four-sport athlete in which I was named the 2006 U.S. Army Reserve Student-Athlete of the year. The National FFA Organization was a big part of my high school career I served as the Northwest District Vice-President and a chapter officer for three years. I was part of 38 NW District FFA CDE team championships and finished in the Top 20 at several state CDEs individually. I was also a National Honor Society and a Class of 2006 officer. I participated in 4-H and was a Star 4-H Club President and Rooks County 4-H officer. I grew up showing purebred Chester White and Hampshire hogs throughout the states of Kansas and Oklahoma. I enjoyed my childhood in Western Kansas, and those years have instilled the ideals of rural life in me and I try to carry those values in my life on a day-to-day basis.
