My name is Brett Kreifels and I hail from Springfield,NE. My interests include hunting, fishing, poultry, and Nebraska Football. Currently, I'm a senior Animal Science student with a Livestock and Poultry Production and Management option. I am active in our Animal Science Dept. through working at the UNL Poultry Farm as well as conducting my own research on the effects of marigold plants on parasites in chickens. We are currently in the process of patenting my research. I also stay active with my county's 4-H program where I volunteer my time as a 4-H leader as well as serve as the poultry superintendent for our county fair. Upon graduating this May, I aim to return to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and pursue a Masters of Applied Science Degree in Animal Science with emphasis on Poultry Nutriton and Poultry Parasitology.
While at Kappa Chapter, I have served as VNR Scholarship Chair as well as Song Chair.
